Focus and Scope

Coffee Science is an open access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in all scientific areas of coffee. Papers published by the journal represent important contribution to the development of coffee science in the fields of Agricultural, Biological, Food, and Social Sciences.

Coffee Science is a quartely journal published by the "Universidade Federal de Lavras - UFLA", MG, Brazil, and the “Consórcio Pesquisa Café” in electronic version.

Peer Review Process

Coffee Science has the collaboration of a group of specialists for the evaluation of the manuscripts/studies received in thematic areas of coffee growing. If the submitted studies are in accordance to the Author Guidelines, they are registered and then directed to the Editorial Board, which will indicate two reviewers with specialized knowledge in the area. The reviewed manuscripts are sent to the corresponding author for corrections, explanations, and/or a new version that will be compared with the original version of the manuscript by the Editorial Board. After editing, final corrections of the text are checked by the authors and by the Editorial Board.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
