Focus and Scope

Coffee Science is published each semester by the Universidade Federal de Lavras and the Consórcio Brasileiro de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento do Café - CBP&D Café, that publishes original research articles contributing to the development of coffee science in the fields of Agricultural, Biological, Food and Social Sciences, elaborated by members of the national and international scientific community. With a drawing of 500 units, it is distributed by the Publisher and the UFLA Central Library in the national and international scope, for libraries of Colleges, Universities and Research Institutions.


Section Policies


Peer Review Process

Coffee Science counts with a group of specialists for evaluation of the works received in the thematic areas of the coffee growing. The submitted works if in accordance with the norms editorials they are, after registration, directed to the commission editorial that will indicate two specialist reviewers in the knowledge area. The revised copies are directed to the author for corrections, justifications and new version that it will be confronted by the commission editorial with the original version of the work. Once I accept, the work is directed for English revision, Portuguese and/or Spanish, bibliographical references and scientific nomenclature. After copyediting, the text is submitted to final corrections by the authors and for the Editorial Board.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
